10 weekend tips for 20th & 21st of January!

CELEBRATE WITH US… IT’S W-E-E-K-E-N-D! Summarized below our favorite tips for coming weekend:

  1. Have you heard about the famous Noord/Zuid line? With the planned opening getting closer and closer, this Saturday is the last day that you can visit the tunnels before the metro line  starts. Check out all info on one of Amsterdam’s biggest projects and subscribe to a tour right here!
  2. Last chance guys: Amsterdam… Light… Festival… If you have not checked this out yet, go go go! Nothing screams romance like a stroll down the lit up canals of Amsterdam with a hint of culture. Check out all details right here.
  3. Fan of art? Visit The Hallen this weekend for the Rembrandt Art Fair where you can buy local pieces of art directly from the artists. You can find all the information on their Facebook page here.
  4. Come cheer for the finest Amsterdam basketball team playing against Leeuwarden on Saturday. Go team!
  5. Feeling sporty yourself? Saturday at 19h you can join in on the Vondelparkloop – Light the night. Together with a cool group you will walk/run/crawl/jogg a 10km tour amongst the cities brightest lights.
  6. We would take a good food festival any day of the week, but mix it with alcohol and double our joy! This weekend it’s Whiskey Weekend Amsterdam. Check out all info right here and have fun 😉
  7. On Sunday you can find us at the Museum Market on Museum plein. Stroll on the many stands to find the coolest gifts for family and friends and have a bite to eat at one of the many food stands.
  8. It’s National Tulip Day on Saturday! You can pick your own tulips at Dam Square, starting at 13h make sure you are there on time as it tends to get really crowded!
  9. Lets dance at Q factory! This Saturday evening dance the night away at Sranang Gotu; a Surinam vibed dance event with all the best they have to offer. Great music and amazing food! Get your tickets right here.
  10. Pay a visit to the Tropenmuseum where there is an expo about ‘Fashion Cities Africa’. Look through the eyes of the fashion-experts of Casablanca, Johannesburg, Lagos, Nairobi and the Netherlands.
